leyenn has started a B5 Ficathon...

... and she needs us assorted Centauriphiles and nutballs to play too. ;)

(andrastewhite: You can request not to be spoiled beyond And the Rock Cried Out, No Hiding Place.)

Here was my entry for those who might be curious:

REQUESTS:

List Pairings: Argh! *wracks brain to narrow it down* Erm, okay. I'll go with the dares. As in, I dare any participant to write Londo/Vir without squicking me (as, I believe, selenak said once, there's an exception to every rule) and G'Kar/Vir (I howled with laughter when I first read that choice, but after ruminating over the idea over dinner, I want to see if G'Kar/Vir is even possible).

So, to summarize:

Pairing #1: Londo/Vir
Pairing #2: G'Kar/Vir

Wildcard: Shadow/Vorlon pr0n!

Characters: Londo, G'Kar

Squick for Vir Pairings: No raping or otherwise physically injuring Vir during the sex act, though emotional angst is okay. Humor, if you can fit it in, gets bonus points.

Squick for Shadow/Vorlon: None.

Spoilers: Bring it on, baby!

WILLING TO WRITE:

Pairings (in order of comfort): Vir/anyone except Londo, Londo/anyone except Vir, G'Kar/anyone, Garibaldi/Lochley (maybe)

Characters (in order of comfort): Vir, Londo, G'Kar

Squick: Don't feel quite ready to write NC-17.

RUSTY SPOON:

Pairings: Susan/Marcus & Sheridan/Delenn (Ragh! Popularity! *melts like the Wicked Witch of the West*), Susan/Talia (can read but can't write- please don't hate me! ;)), Zack/anyone
Characters: Zack, Marcus, Talia *ducks to avoid wrath of pervy telepath fancier*, Lyta, Bester (he skeers me)

Yes, you did read that right. I requested Londo/Vir, G'Kar/Vir and Shadow/Vorlon all out of my own sick curiosity.

Now, off to work on my current writing assignments...

It's canon that Londo thinks that Garabaldi is 'cute in an annoying sort of way.' Of course, it's also canon that Garabaldi threatened to break Londo's arm if he tried anything *g*.

Ah, but the question remains: would he? You can make a case for Garibaldi being in a state of sexual frustration during the first season, what with Lise issues, Talia issues, and, if you're slashily inclined, Sinclair issues. And you yourself proved that "I'm bored, let's have sex" is a Londo idea to have.*g*

Part of the problem with Londo/Vir is that canon suggests they'd be squicked by it. I don't think either of them wants to think too hard about the other's sex life.

Well, poor Vir already knows more about Londo's sex life than he wants to, what with ordering underwear for Adira and being informed that Timov bites. (Btw, that's a story I've been meaning to write. As you know from my tale of their marriage, I don't think they had sex back when they were married, but they did get around to it eventually.) But I agree that they'd be squicked by the idea, which is why I can't wrap my mind around (canonical) Londo/Vir.

I am, however, strangely intrigued by the prospect of Londo/G'Kar/Timov, yet doubt that there's enough brivari in the universe to make it work ...

Ironically, the party I can see having the least problem with it is Londo. G'Kar would have no problem with the concept of having sex with a wife of Londo's but very much with any witness to having sex, drunken or not, with Londo. And Timov would slap both of them for the suggestion. Although... I think I might be able to pull it off in one particular way if someone challenged me to do it. And they wouldn't even be drunk.

Fandom is an evil place.

I imagine that Londo would also find Garabaldi's inability to get laid rather bewildering. Possibly to the point of offering to give him pointers ... I can't believe you're talking me into Londo/Garabaldi.

Indeed - although I think I maybe thought of a way, if pushed to drastic measures by ficathon requirements.

I'm still trying to come up with a way to achieve G'Kar/Vir that doesn't begin 'once upon a time, some aliens with an interest in mind controll and interspecies sex came to Babylon 5 ...'

G'Kar would have no problem with the concept of having sex with a wife of Londo's but very much with any witness to having sex, drunken or not, with Londo.

Yes - G'Kar has learned the value of discretion via his affair with Mariel (and maybe other Centauri women, for all we know.)

And Timov would slap both of them for the suggestion.

Well, you know, G'Kar can be quite charming when he ... no, you're right. He might last a whole thirty seconds of conversation before she hit him, though.

Although... I think I might be able to pull it off in one particular way if someone challenged me to do it. And they wouldn't even be drunk.

You're telling me. Less than six months ago, I didn't even know how to pronounce G'Kar, and now I'm contemplating ways of getting him into bed with half the cast.

Sounds in character to me. He does offer to give G'Kar pointers for the same problem in Rising Star, after all.*g* And in season 1, Londo has been known to cheer up Garibaldi with good advice as well.

... I can't believe you're talking me into Londo/Garibaldi.

Says the woman who wants to talk me into Londo/G'Kar/Timov. Pfff.

G'Kar/Londo/Timov:
Please write on *g*.

I'm waiting as to whether or not I will get such an assignement by leyenn, since there is only one such idea. But I'm warning you, it's going to be set post-show and will contain spoilers for the novels, and might be accused of cheating.*g*

I gave Timov and G'Kar a brief and utterly un-slap-containing meeting in my story about her marriage to Londo.

Less than six months ago, I didn't even know how to pronounce G'Kar, and now I'm contemplating ways of getting him into bed with half the cast.

Well, he (and the Centauri) missed out of the fannish action long enough (i.e. for a decade) which is most unfair considering they get canonically laid more often than the humans.
If leyenn does not challenge you to do Londo/G'Kar/Timov, then I personally challenge you. ;)

Well, a similar problem - I don't think he belives G'Kar has any trouble getting the girls as far as the bed *g*.

And in season 1, Londo has been known to cheer up Garibaldi with good advice as well.

I know. The trouble is, I can hear the conversation now.

What goes around, comes around. Especially in fandom.

I think cheating is allowed with a threesome like that *g*.

I gave Timov and G'Kar a brief and utterly un-slap-containing meeting in my story about her marriage to Londo.

Oh, I'm sure they could talk about plenty of things without any violence resulting - just not in a converstaion that contained any variation on 'your husband and I are interested in having sex with you.'

Well, he (and the Centauri) missed out of the fannish action long enough (i.e. for a decade) which is most unfair considering they get canonically laid more often than the humans.

Perhaps that was the rationale - although it doesn't get people out of writing Vir a romantic life. Still, we seem to be doing our best to redress the balance now - and I suspect the ficathon may help produce more *g*.

True. His comments in Rising Star aim at G'Kar's stamina, technique, and, er, tendency to be premature.*g* Great Maker, those scenes are wicked.

The trouble is, I can hear the conversation now.

Well then, why can't we read it?

And lead neatly not only to Londo/G'Kar with G'Kar determined to prove the slur unfounded, but to another reason for Londo/G'Kar/Mariel, because I can see both of them declaring that they need an independent judge to decide the question of technique.

Well then, why can't we read it?

Londo/Garabaldi. *shakes head* Have I really fallen so far in such a short time? Less than three months since I first posted my first B5 story?

(Seriously, though, I'm waiting for my ficathon assignment. Who knows what people may have asked for ...?)

G: Although that shouldn't even be a question. Why do you think Mariel started our affair to begin with? Obviously, she was thoroughly bored with your...attentions.

L: My dear G'Kar, surely it hasn't escaped your attention she didn't give you another look once you lost your position? Obviously, she was prepared to endure a lot, but not clumsiness from a powerless man. Now that I think of it, this probably explains your complete lack of a social life these past few years in general.

G: That's it. I'm inviting her to join us immediately. Perhaps your inevitable humiliation will at least liberate me from your ongoing prattle for a day or two.

Londo/Garibaldi. *shakes head* Have I really fallen so far in such a short time?

Hey, take comfort in the fact there are worse cases. After all, your pal Y. bewilderingly wants to write G'Kar/Sheridan. (Sheridan = so very unslashable.)
Perhaps your inevitable humiliation will at least liberate me from your ongoing prattle for a day or two.

Hee. And I bet Mariel could come up with a way to shut both of them up, too, at least temporarily ...

After all, your pal Y. bewilderingly wants to write G'Kar/Sheridan. (Sheridan = so very unslashable.)

It's certainly not a pairing I could wrap my head around, but I'll gladly read it when she's done. I must encourage her to use her knowledge of post-colonialism to write about Narns, in combination with humans or not *g*.
