I couldn't answer the question about the ep because I haven't seen it yet. I don't download series we actually get here.
No problem! I'm sure you're not the only one. ;)
I ticked "Agree" on whether or not I like it when House is being an ass, however I think that needs some clarification. House being an ass like he was in season one and two? Great. Awesome, even. House being an ass like he was (for example) to Wilson for the duration of the Tritter arc? Terrible. Turned me completely off the show. I stopped watching it just before the Tritter arc resolved itself, and have been meaning to catch up, but... Meh.
Understood!
I answered both "House is a cipher; he should not change" and "House is a dramatic character and should change as such," and it occurs to me that I possibly ought to 'splain that. See, I like the fact that there's a bit of mystery and ambiguity to House and I don't particularly want to see him completely dissected and explained. And I definitely don't want to see him "fixed." So in that sense, yep, bit of a cipher, and yep, don't want him to change. I like him as he is! On the other hand, yes, he's also a dramatic character, and I don't like to see total stagnation in characters, either. Even if their core personalities stay the same, they should act as if they've learned from experience, their relationships with others should be allowed to develop, etc. So, in that sense, yes, he should change as appropriate.

My almost-certainly-over-thought-two-cents on the subject, anyway. :)
Thank you for the explanation. Clarification, as House once said, is a beautiful thing. *g*
