GIP!

Okay, it's not glamorous, but now at least I'll have an icon to use for any reactions to B7 I may post. *g*

We can't all have a thing for the villains.*g*
You can love some of the villains all of the time and all of the villains some of the time, but you can't love all of the villains all of the time.

The rest of the time is what CallyLove is for. :)
True enough.*g*
By the way, damn you. Damn you to heck for this.

No sleep... no sleeeeeep...
Your reply was absolutely beautiful and made me sniffel as well. And you know, I did want to post it last night (i.e. your morning), but mean lj wouldn't let me! Told me all the time Londo's journal was in read-only mode etc.
Sure, sure. Whatever you say. *g*

Thank you for the compliment on the drabble. I was about to send you the usual "whoo hoo! and much love!" comment when the last few lines popped into my brain. Then, of course, I had to stay up for an additional hour or two to write it before the universe imploded. *g*

And you know, ever since waking up from my one and a half hours of sleep this morning, I've been whistling the B7 theme song. It's stuck in my head and I can't get it out, aiee! For this, I am also blaming you. Perhaps that's not entirely fair. But then again, you were the one who brought me to LJ in the first place, thereby making it possible for me to meet all of these people who tempt me with shiny things. *g*
Pff. The theme tune, nothing - just wait till you're quoting Avon when your mother or father try to send you to do the shopping. ("I'm not stupid, I'm not expendable, and I'm not going.") Or till you get into your first big "was Blake right or wrong about Star One?" argument, though you'll need to have seen the complete second season for that one. It's one of the truly undead equines of fandom.

Incidentally, bear in mind that the first season is the most light-hearted and relaxed of the bunch. (Which is saying something considering the pilot has the leading man framed for sex with children.) The second season is probably the best overall, but it's also when things start to get truly dark as our first (but not last) regular dies. By the time season 4 finishes, we're in pitch black territory. As opposed to vilakins, I rather like that, but that's me, angst afficiniado.
Yes, I'm already spoiled for many of the larger plot points, I'm afraid. They're rather hard to avoid, those spoilers, after more than 20 years. So I'm definitely aware of where things are headed. And I suspect that when I get to that point, I will embrace it as well. soulonds9 calls me a "congenital dystopian." *g* (He also can't understand why I would choose to fall for a show in which the hero is killed in the end, but to each his own.)
Err, didn't soulonds9 fall for a show in which the hero is also killed, sort of, and at any rate transforms into something else and has to say goodbye to his entire old existence?*g*

Also, fellow dystopian, when will you update Enemies & Allies again?
He says: "That's not the same. Because his cause still wins in the end. And because, even if he has to give up his old life, he still lives on in a sense." *g*

Regarding an update for E&A- probably not until next week at the earliest due to Burbank. But yes, you're right, another update should be soon.
Insert appropriate Londo quote starting with The last time I saw political naiveté on this scale... from Dust to Dust here.*g*

On a more serious level: hey, the cause of the B7 folk goes on as well. And there is a very important line in the final ep regarding the fact it doesn't depend on one individual (or severals). They just don't win, and frankly, that's because this is a British series, and the Brits have learned their dystopian scenarios at the feet of George Orwell. Did you ever make soulonds9 read 1984?

Speaking of DS9, two things - when will you issue a new challenge? And: poor deborah_judge needs some distraction during her DS9 watching. As Andraste and self agree a lot with her, some debate from alternate povs would be nice. Can't you hop over?

Quite true.

Did you ever make soulonds9 read 1984?

No, I haven't yet. He is somewhat resistant to reading in general because his vision impairment makes it difficult. Perhaps a book on tape should do the trick.

when will you issue a new challenge?

Er, yes, I've neglected that too, haven't I? *facepalm* Sunday night, after Burbank, I'll come up with something. *g*

I'll try tonight, though I have homework.

Awww! Vila-love!
*pets Vila* :)
Yay, Vila!
And he so does have puppy-dog eyes!
